IT Regional Shared Service Process Manager EMEA

Reporting to the Regional Shared Services Manager UK, this role is responsible for managing and leading Regional Shared Services Processes for the EMEA Financial Services (FS) and National Sales (NSC) businesses including the UK.  The role ensures the optimisation of shared service activities EMEA wide to deliver sustainable solutions and shapes/determines the best approach to achieve this.

Responsibilities

  • Disciplinary management for UK Shared Services & Process support team, covering Operational Support Group (OSG), Database Administration (DBA) and Lifecycle Reliability Engineering (LRE) processes with a combination of permanent and contractor positions. The role leads and develops the team to ensure successful completion of projects and programmes, as well as critical system availability.
  • Through the OSG team, the role is responsible for ensuring scheduling, batch and file transfer support for the UK Financial services business.
  • The role ensures an effective DBA service is provided via the DBA team for systems and applications. Support for numerous databases across both Oracle and Mainframe platforms, as well as maintaining locally developed frameworks utilised by the DevOps teams.
  • Steering and management of the Domain LRE for the EMEA Region, supporting multiple EMEA markets with topics relating to operational stability. Including: technical lifecycle management, patch and vulnerability management, risk management, audit support, major incident management and escalation etc.
  • IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) process owner. Ensuring resilient systems and processes are in place to provide robust IT Services to the UK National Sales and Financial Services businesses, through regular emergency exercises and collaboration with the Business Continuity Management (BCM) group.

Qualifications – External

Essential

  • University degree, or relevant education/experience (i.e. studies in IT, computing, software engineering, Information Security or comparable qualification)
  • Communication skills suitable for dealing with senior management in an international function (personal, language and cultural).
  • Solid knowledge in key technologies, decision making capabilities.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the financial services sector and understanding of the business processes – especially appreciation of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in managing teams in an international environment.
  • Professional qualification in ITIL advantageous.
